IN PERSON   本人が直接に、自ら

• To do something in person is to do it yourself, directly or while physically there, rather than having someone else do it for you or rather than doing it by e-mail, over the phone, on TV, etc.
• in person は、自分の代わりに誰かに行ってもらったり、メールや電話、テレビなどを使ったりするのではなく、本人が直接、つまりその場にいて、自ら何かを行なう、という意味です。

EXAMPLE 1　：　They've scheduled me for an in-person interview tomorrow. I'm so glad they're not going to be interviewing me over the phone.

EXAMPLE 2　：   I've spoken to Gary on the phone.It will be nice to finally meet him in person.

EXAMPLE 3　：　I've read all her books, so you can imagine how excited I was to see her in person!
