(MULTI)TASK   （やるべき）仕事／複数の仕事を同時に行う

• A task (noun) is a piece of work you've been given to do, especially one that you do regularly or one that's difficult or unpleasant.

  To multitask (verb) is to do two or more tasks at the same time.

• 名詞の task とは、課せられた仕事という意味で、特に、定期的に行うものや、困難なもの、面白くないものをさします。

  動詞の multitask は、２つ以上の仕事を同時に行う、という意味です。

I usually use the morning hours to take care of routine tasks like catching up on e-mail and returning calls.
