Kumon Crows Nest Education Centre offers students of all ages individualised study programmes in Mathematics, English, Japanese as a foreign language and Japanese for native speakers (Kokugo).

 

Currently, our centre is seeking one part-time staff member to assist in the operations of its Japanese and Kokugo language Instruction.

 

If you have strong Japanese language skills, and would love to work with children, then this is the role for you!

 

Main duties include:

• Set study plans for students learning Kokugo or Japanese and prepare their worksheets

• Observe and instruct students of Kokugo and Japanese during class time

• Mark and record students’ class work and homework

• Update students’ study plans

• Motivate and encourage students to learn

• Communicate with parents on their children’s study progress

 

You must be:

• Fluent in Japanese

• Organised and able to multi-task

• A fast learner and responsible

• A quick thinker and able to adapt to different situations

• Able to instruct students of all ages; from pre-school to adults

• Able to work on both of the two class days Tuesday and Friday from 2.30 pm to 6.30pm

• Flexible with additional hours and/or days

 

Previous teaching experience is well-regarded but not mandatory. Full training will be provided.
