A great opportunity exists for a full time Chef to join our friendly and upbeat team at our Japanese dining restaurant in Manly NSW.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working cook with culinary experiences to join our highly skilled and energetic kitchen team. Communication skill is important, Japanese language will highly be regarded but not essential.

 

 

 

 Job duties and responsibilities

 

–      Cooking and preparing foods in high quality

 

–      Cooking and preparing foods in a timely manner

 

–      Maintain cooking equipment clean and hygienic

 

–      Planning menu in association with restaurant managers and other senior staff

 

–      Seasoning foods during cooking procedure

 

–      Control of cooking equipment in good condition

 

–      Inventory control and report to management

 

–      Train other kitchen staff and trainees

 

Further requirements to be successful for these roles are:

 

·         At least certificate 3 or 4 in commercial cookery or equivalent tertiary education

 

·         Knowledge of traditional Japanese Cuisine & Sushi

 

·         At least 2 years experience in stock control
