語学力を向上し、幸せを感じる生き方を哲学する、一石二鳥の読書討論会です。

上手な生き方を哲学する書物を英語で読み、それを順番に和訳し、更に、英語と日本語の両方で討論します。どなたかが英語で発言したら、別の方にその和訳をお願いし、日本語の発言は、また別の方に英訳をお願いします。

複雑な概念や思考を英語で組み立て、処理し、表現する力を養いながら、同時に、幸せを感じる生き方とはどういう生き方なのかを考えます。

リーダーを務めます「ほぼベジのぬけ」は、日本で同時通訳業を営んだ後、オーストラリアの文書翻訳国家資格（NAATI）とカウンセラー資格（Diploma of Counselling）を持つ翻訳通訳者兼カウンセラーです。

This is a book club to learn how to speak Japaenese and how to live well, at the same time.

We will read a book on well-being in English, and ask one of the students to translate the passage into Japanese.  Then we will have a bilingual discussion on what we have read.  If one makes a statement in English, another one will be asked to translate it into Japanese, and vice versa.  You will get to practice how to construct, process, and express complex thoughts in Japanese.  Intermediate to advanced students of Japanese as a foreign language are welcome.

The book club leader is a former simultaneous interpreter and current consectuvie interpreter/translator and counsellor based in Sydney.
