Job Description:
We are seeking a Timber Processor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling and inspecting raw timber materials, operating milling equipment, and ensuring the quality of our timber products. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or timber processing and a passion for maintaining high standards of quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:
• Handle and inspect raw timber materials
• Sort and stack timber based on size, grade, and type
• Operate saws, planers, and milling equipment
• Adjust machine settings for precise cuts
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery
• Inspect finished products for defects and verify dimensions
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs


Qualifications:
• Own vehicle is essential
• Ability to lift and handle heavy materials
• Stamina for standing and working on feet for extended hours
• Awareness of workplace safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Proactive approach to breakdowns, minimising downtime
• Must hold full working rights (Working Holiday Visa holders welcome)
• Relocation to Bombala (accommodation provided at $175 per week)

What We Offer:
• Stable day shift from Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week with the possibility of extra shifts
• Hourly rate: $30.13 + 11.5% Super, paid fortnightly
• Accommodation and transportation arranged
• Working Holiday Visa extension requirement accountable
