POSITION DESCRIPTION – QUALIFIED Chef-SPECIALIS JAPANESE CUISINE


Main Task of Chef

• Planning authentic traditional menus, estimated food and labor cost, ordering food supplies;
• monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation;
• discussing food preparation issues with Manager, Dietitians and Kitchen and Waiting staff;
• demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures;
• preparing and cooking food;
• explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
• may select and train staff.


Essential Skills Required

• At least AQF Diploma or equivalent;
• At least three years relevant work experience;
• Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine and food culture;
• Ability to arrange and create menu on request;
• Be a professional, responsible person who can work in a team environment.
