About the Role
We require a PA/Legal Secretary to work closely with the principal lawyer and her team, to fulfil daily administrative and clerical duties as well as providing ad hoc support as required. You will work in a supportive and busy team to assist in various administration activities and support business development. Duties include:
◯ Drafting of client correspondence
◯ Preparing regulatory court documents
◯ Assisting and liaising with clients, lawyers and business partners, meeting and greeting clients
◯ Maintaining business markets and developing strategic marketing plans
◯ All general administrative matters such as processing invoices, ordering supplies, banking, and coordinating meetings and seminars.
We are able to offer flexible work arrangements on either a full time or part time basis.
To be successful you will need to have:
◯ A minimum of three years’ administrative work experience (either in Australia, Japan or both)
◯ A minimum of one year’s work experience in a B2B (Business to Business) environment
◯ Fluency at a business level in both Japanese (Keigo Proficiency in business writing) and English
◯ Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
◯ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
◯ Strong attention to detail
◯ The capacity to work autonomously and also to take direction with minimal instruction
◯ Experience in areas of legal, HR and compliance related work is desirable but not mandatory
◯ The applicant must have a valid Australian working visa for the next 12 months
You will need to have a flexible yet professional attitude and to be proactive, highly motivated and self disciplined. You will need to have good problem- solvings and be able to make decisions on your own, within the parameters of your assigned responsibilities. You will need to be client focused, understanding clients’ and stakeholders’ needs, and responding to their needs intelligently. Meticulous attention to detail, ability to multitask, exceptional time management skills are also essential for this role.
