We are looking for dynamic and professional group leaders to join our team of leaders. Full time and seasonal positions available.

Duties and Responsibilities

Safely lead our clients on our wide range of programs throughout Japan
Seek to provide our guests with the Japan travel experience of their lives
Present facts about the region’s natural and human history
Provide a positive role model for clients, fellow leaders, managers, key stakeholders, travel agents and even children and facilitate learning based activities
Advise and help clients experience delicious meals throughout the different regions of Japan
Care for Venture equipment, philosophy and help us continue to work to a sustainable business
Lead interpretive walks and hikes (and possibly rides and paddles) of sites and landscapes
Adhere to principles of Responsible Travel
Be a steward of the natural areas in which we travel

Qualifications

Customer service experience or superb people skills
Background in tourism, natural history or leading groups (active or non active), preferred but not essential
Experience or willingness to work with young children and adolescents
Capable of working long hours
Physically fit
Team player
Excellent communication skills
Conversational English and/or Japanese
Positive attitude
Non-Smoker
Creative approach to problem solving
First-Aid Certified preferred
Basic computer knowledge
